These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of BridgeDummy ("we," "us," or "our") website located at bridgedummy.com (the "Service") operated by BridgeDummy.

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these terms, then you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

BridgeDummy is an online bridge training platform that provides:

• Interactive bridge puzzles and training exercises
• Bridge simulation engine for practice scenarios
• Progress tracking and performance analytics
• Virtual diamond currency system
• Educational content and tutorials
• Community features and leaderboards

3. User Accounts

Account Creation

To access certain features, you must create an account using Google Sign-In. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.

Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your Google account
• All activities that occur under your account
• Immediately notifying us of any unauthorized use
• Ensuring your account information remains accurate

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use our Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to use the Service:

• To violate any applicable laws or regulations
• To transmit harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
• To attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• To interfere with other users' experience
• To use automated systems to access the platform
• To reverse engineer or copy our software
• For any commercial purpose without our written consent

5. Virtual Currency (Diamonds)

BridgeDummy uses a virtual currency system called "Diamonds." Please understand:

• Diamonds have no real-world monetary value
• Diamonds cannot be exchanged for cash or other consideration
• We may modify the diamond system at any time
• Diamonds are forfeited if your account is terminated
• We reserve the right to adjust diamond balances for system integrity
• Refunds apply to the original purchase price and reverse the transaction; refunded diamonds are removed from the account

Fair Use Policy

All subscription plans, including plans described as offering unlimited diamonds, are subject to a fair use policy designed to prevent abuse and ensure platform stability for all users. We reserve the right to:

• Impose reasonable usage limits to prevent automated or excessive consumption of platform resources
• Temporarily or permanently restrict access for accounts that exhibit usage patterns inconsistent with normal, personal use of the platform
• Determine, at our sole discretion, what constitutes abusive or excessive usage

If your usage is restricted under this policy, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you. Continued abuse after notification may result in account suspension or termination in accordance with Section 13.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

Our Content

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by BridgeDummy and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

Your Content

You retain rights to any content you submit to our platform. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, and display your content in connection with the Service.

7. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Service. By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

8. Third-Party Services

Our Service relies on the following third-party service providers:

Google Services

• Google Firebase for user authentication and database services
• Google Sign-In for account creation and login
• Google Cloud Run for bridge simulation engine processing

Cloudflare Pages

Our platform is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may collect basic performance and security data as part of their hosting services.

Google Analytics & Microsoft Clarity

We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to analyze platform usage and improve user experience. Google Analytics operates in consent mode and may collect limited cookieless data before consent. Full cookie-based tracking and Clarity session recording are only enabled after you provide consent. You may revoke consent at any time via the "Cookie Settings" link in the website footer.

Service Dependencies

By using our Service, you acknowledge that:

• Our Service depends on these third-party providers
• Service availability may be affected by third-party outages
• These providers have their own terms of service and privacy policies
• We are not responsible for third-party service interruptions
• Data processing by these providers is governed by their respective policies

9. Subscriptions and Payments

9.1 Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Paddle.com (Paddle), who acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. Paddle handles payment processing, currency conversion, and applicable sales tax on our behalf.

9.2 Subscriptions

• Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis
• You may cancel your subscription at any time
• We may change subscription prices with 30 days notice
• Failed payments may result in service suspension

9.3 Diamond Refills

Subscribers may purchase additional diamond packs. See Section 5 for the terms governing virtual currency.

9.4 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all purchases. If you are not satisfied, you may request a full refund within 30 days of the purchase date.

9.5 Effect of a Refund

If a refund is issued, any diamonds, subscription access, or other benefits granted as part of that purchase will be removed from your account.

10. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high service availability, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service:

• The Service may be unavailable during maintenance
• We may modify or discontinue features at any time
• Third-party service outages (Google Cloud, Cloudflare, Firebase) may affect availability
• We are not liable for service interruptions

11. Disclaimers

We disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including:

• Merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement and title
• Accuracy, completeness, or reliability of content
• Uninterrupted or error-free service

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BridgeDummy shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill
• Service interruptions or security breaches
• Third-party actions or content

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Termination

Either party may terminate your account:

• You may delete your account at any time
• We may terminate accounts for Terms violations
• We may suspend service for non-payment
• Some provisions survive termination (e.g., intellectual property)

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service shall be interpreted and governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Delaware, and the parties hereby consent to personal jurisdiction and venue therein.

If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, nothing in this clause affects your rights under applicable consumer protection laws.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective when posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
