How the Bidding Gym grades a bid
The Bidding Gym deals a random hand and three bots bid with you, playing 2/1 Game Force. When the auction ends, BridgeDummy plays your final contract, and every alternative contract, across 20 layouts that fit the bidding, so you see in IMPs how much your judgement gained or lost.
It is free and unlimited. Hover any bot call to see what it meant, and use the same hand again to test a different route.

- Yes. Deals in the Bidding Gym are free with a BridgeDummy account and there is no daily limit.
- How is my contract scored?
- Your hand and partner's are fixed; the opponents' hands are re-dealt to match the auction across 20 layouts. Every layout is solved double dummy for your contract and for the alternatives, and the average difference is shown in IMPs.
- Can I practice with a human partner?
- Yes. Bidding Challenges let you bid the same boards asynchronously with a friend, with the same contract scoring afterwards.
- How is this different from bidding puzzles?
- Puzzles ask for one call at a decision point and grade it against at least 1,000 simulated deals. The Bidding Gym is a full auction with bots, graded on the contract you reach.
